The Religious festival Dedicated to Parvati also Known as Teej Mata. The festival celebrates the final union of Parvati with her beloved Lord Shiva. This time it is married women who pray for conjugal harmony and bliss.

As the monsoon rains have quenched the thirsty earth, swings are sprouted from the trees and women dress in their finery sing songs and swing in celebrations. Though its celebrated all over Rajasthan and of special significance to the state, an elaborate procession emerges from Tripolia Gate in Jaipur on two consecutive days of the Teej Festival. Wending its way through the heart of the city it has ornately dressed elephants, camels, horses, music bands, performing artists and a palanquin carrying idol of Teej Mata.

On these auspicious festivals, it is believed that Teej Mata grants all requests of the petitioners. Tradition had it that a elaborately dressed figure of Goddess Parvati seated on a swing will be carried by groups of women singing hymns, before the Jaipur ruler and the Maharaja used to present all his Chieftains with red robes and likewise daughters will receive new red outfits from their fathers. The Bundi town of Rajasthan has a elaborate procession of Goddess Teej in a decorated palanquin with decorated Camel, Elephants, Horses and live performing artists starting from Naval Sagar to disperse at Azad Park.
